CERTIFICATE IN TEACHING ENGLISH TO YOUNG LEARNERS AND TEENAGERS​


Canadian Education College offers a two week certificate course for those who wish to specialize in teaching Young Learner and Teenagers. This course is offered for independent study, with in-class support from one of our instructors.




entry requirement





This is an assignment-based course only. To qualify, students should be preferably TESOL trained or have some teaching/tutoring experience. However, students who have ‘GCSE’ level-equivalent qualification and express a strong interest in teaching will also be considered. The minimum requirement is that students be fluent in both oral and written English at the proficiency level. ​

With this 10 unit course, students will learn how children learn language – both mother tongue and English. They will also learn new ideas for English activities suitable for both young learners – aged 4 to 11 and teenagers – aged 12+ Students will be required to submit an achievement test to qualify for this certificate.
